Hi, I'm Dr. Tameeza Samji
I believe that profound change comes through understanding each other and ourselves.
I quickly help couples and individuals express themselves more clearly and love more fully.
I do this by helping people tap into their ability to communicate with each other and respond with love and respect.
I can help you create better relationships today while also healing old wounds and traumas. My goal is to help you, your partner, and your families become happier.
I have been described as engaging, expressive, gentle and intuitive. I describe myself as passionate and creative with a keen sense of equanimity.
It is my experience that improving relationships in therapy makes us better partners in romantic relationships. It can equally help us be better parents, better friends and was better sons and daughters.
I have particular expertise working with people in inter-racial/cross-cultural/mixed race relationships, bisexual women in relationships and non-traditional relationships. My most successful couples are motivated and looking for answers.
I received my Doctorate in Clinical and Transpersonal Psychology at the California Insititue for Integral Studies in 2007. I have presented my work on bisexual women in relationship at national conferences and supervise therapists in training. I am an adjunct professor at Antioch University in Los Angeles and I am also a mixed media painter and ceramicist, as well as happily coupled and non-traditional mother of two.
